So my best friend Si was over from Australia a week ago, which was wonderful as I’ve not seen him for 2 years! He came to visit our new home first and my beautiful man cooked us a delicious curry feast, we also did a few local musts (ie garage lounge & Sakura) but then we headed to London Town…
We ate out lots, watched a show (Wicked – so good!!), visited museums & galleries and checked out some markets…..
My absolute favourite was Borough Market, Southwark. A foody market which was incredible!
More than just a place to buy and sell food. It’s a unique little corner of London selling wonderful produce from around the globe…
In their own words…”It’s a vibrant and friendly place where people to come to discover the tastes, aromas, textures and colours that only fresh, seasonal food can offer. Borough Market is somewhere to explore, to ask questions, to discover new flavours and to savour a unique atmosphere.”
And boy-oh-boy did we do that!! We got there early, and I recommend you do the same, it got too busy later in the day! You can find out all about the traders, opening times etc etc on their website you can even get an app for your phone!!
The thing I probably appreciated most, apart from the food, was the displays! Decadent, rustic, colourful…. Everything looked appetising!
I brought some incredible chorizo sausages and some divine cake to take home and feasted on Malaysian fish curry and an organic fruit smoothie for lunch but could have spent a fortune had finances allowed it….
I took a million photos too… Have a look and tell me you don’t wanna go?!?
