I know I know… I haven’t posted in ages.. Please accept my apologies… We’ve been busy though, and ill… Does that make it any better?? 🙂
Anyway I’ve come to fill you in on some stuff… It was my loves 32nd birthday a couple of weeks ago… His main gift was a weekend in London where we saw Matilda (which is amazing) but on his actual birthday, the following Wednesday I’d planned a Lego party in the eve (boys never grow out of their toys!!)
During the day we checked out an adorable tiny pub in called the Harrow in in Steep. On recommendation from my dear friend Anna. The pub was ancient and full of personality… No toilets (you had to use a block over the lane) and about 6 tables, huge roaring fires and apples for sale outside. The sun was low in the sky when we arrived so we grabbed a blanked from one of the benches and sat outside enjoying the last of the warmth.
I ordered the pub classic, a huge bowl of pea and ham soup, the birthday boy had a ploughmans. A local ale and perry accompanied the meal perfectly!
After that we headed to minstead a charming little village and checked out all the charity shops including the amazing Marmadukes. 4 floors of carpet to ceiling antiques… We were in heaven!!!
In the eve I made up a vat of Mac n cheese and a few good friend spent the evening drinking cider punch and making Lego creations (the girls freestyling with squeals of the excitement, the boys in concentrated silence) a fun day was had by all, most importantly the birthday boy!
Here’s a few pics from Maxwell’s 32nd birthday…
