So, my lover and I made these last Christmas, I took all the pics to blog about it, but never got round to it… (Who else does that?)

So anyway, I thought id save them and do it this festive season…

The recipe was borrowed from the fabulous Nigella Lawson. You can find the original recipe here..

We tweaked a few things, as you do with all new favourite recipes… We used spiced rum instead of sherry, found holly leaf/berry decorations as apposed to cutting up glacier cherries etc (so much easier) and would recommend really chilling the mixture before you attempt rolling… We didn’t and ended up VERY messy! But it was fun and they were yummy!

I found clear and snowflake bags from Wilkinsons to put them in and bobs your uncle, homemade pressies all round…

Here are the pics that tell the story, a few won’t load (thanks phone) so there’s a few photographic gaps… But you’ll get the gist!! 😉

Assemble your ingredients with handsome assistant in tow. Melt chocolate and add rum and syrup, then get your Christmas pud and crumble into chocolatey goo…

Spend ages rolling out teeny tiny balls of Christmas pud goo, getting really mucky in the process…

Lick the bowl… And place the balls in the fridge to chill….

Once the balls are chilled melt the white chocolate goo on top using a tea spoon…
(Make crispy cakes with the left over chocolate…)

Top the balls with mini holly/berries and chill again… And you’re done!! Hand them out with a smug lil’ smile cos they’re so darn cute!!
