So as you may or may not know, back in March, 2 days after I turned 30, I also became an Auntie for the first time…. I was also honoured to be asked to be godmother for my beautiful niece. Whilst I myself am not religious, I know that I will look out for Lilly, to be there for her when she feels she’s got no one to turn to, to be her friend, confidant, protector and the best auntie I can be… To me, this is what I consider my god parent duties to be and I take them on proudly.
We had a beautiful private service for just our immediate family, it was lovely, and quite amusing as Lilly, who never cries decided to cry the whole way through despite countless bottles and order of services to chew on! ha ha
After the baptism, we went to a country pub, shared some lovely food and give the girl of honour some special gifts. When Lilly was born I brought her a charm bracelet an in addition to a vintage silver rattle we picked up at an antiques fair a while back, I also got her 2 charms to commemorate her baptism, a tiny St. Christopher and a little bible that opens….
Here’s a couple of snaps I took throughout the day….
