A while back my beautiful friend Tatum asked me to capture her last days of pregnancy. We browsed Pinterest for inspiration and loved the laid back silhouetted images best.
On a chilly afternoon Tatum and her mum came to our home and we improvised a few special shots that she and her husband could treasure forever. Above are a few of my faves….

blogging, eyes, humanity, life, people, photography, world wide
I just saw a post on Facebook showing people from around the world. Each has their own story to tell, lives so different yet we’re all kind of the same… Strip back the skin colour and the background, we are all just humans, struggling to get by the best we know how… some just have it 100 times worse then others… You can see the original article, sources and their stories here. Below are a few of the images that resonated most with me… I think it’s in their eyes….

So my talented photographer friend Matthew Cleveland has just embarked on a photography project photographing local craftsmen doing their thing…. In his own words “Craftsmen is a project celebrating the skill of those who work with their hands. Creating objects from raw materials which inspire, intrigue and quite simply improve our lives.
To start the project he asked my most favourite craftsman, my man, Mr Maxwell Hyde.
Maxwell is a talented carpenter and shipwright and is currently restoring his 1955 wooden clinker boat called Hesperus…
You can check out Matt’s other (incredibly good) work here, and see the original post on the project here.
Here are my 20 favourite pics….

inI have been saying for months years that I need a new camera… My old beloved and well used Canon 300D has been around the block a few (too many) times and just doenst really cut it any more. (especially when I’m let loose on my families newer toys)
As I’m still getting asked to do weddings and I have a photographic adventure up my sleeves I thought I really should just do it…..
I have been umming and ahhing for a while, trying to decide on whether to go for what I know and love, or try something new….
As you may or may not know, I have always loved old cameras… I still have (and use) a couple of Olympus OM10’s and a couple of 35 Trips…
Not only do I enjoy the fun of working with film but I love the asthetics of a vintage camera…
So….. I have have decided to trying something new…. and I’m super excited!!
It should be her within 5 days and I can’t wait to play… Photographer friend Matthew Cleveland has offered to spend a day with me showing me the ropes… all I need now is one of these lovely cases….
This one was hand made by Etsy seller Nelisgood. I love them!
So do any of you have a Fuji X-E2? I’d live to hear your thoughts and what you love about it!

inWow…..
You may or may not have seen these images doing the rounds recently….
I am in awe of them, they are incredibly beautiful.
Taken by Russian photographer Katerina Plotnikova, this series of surreal and mystical portraits with real animals is so amazing. There is no Photoshop involved – just a group of elite animal trainers, some beautiful models and Plotnikova and her camera.
You can see more of Katerina’s work here or here.
And below is some of my favourite images… What do you think?

I recently saw this link via Facebook and the images have stayed with me…
It’s about a little girl called Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré and her amazing upbringing in Namibia.
Daughter of 2 wildlife photographers Tippi was blessed with unique and special childhood.
Born in 1990 to french photographers/film makers Alain Degré & Slyvie Robert, Tippi grew up alongside wild animals and spent her days alongside the tribespeople.
Her childhood was stunning.
Tippi shares the story of her life, and the closeness she feels to animals in a book called Tippi: my book of Africa.
I’d like to share with you some of the photos which inspired me most…
And if you speak french… you can watch this film made about Tippi’s life…

A friend shared this link on his facebook page this morning and i wanted to share with you all!
I particularly like the line that ‘having a daughter meant he no longer had to search for the perfect model!’
I’m not gonna lie, i’m looking forward to having babies and taking endless photos of them!
And this little model certainly isn’t camera shy!! I’ll share a couple of my favourite shots and here’s the link to the rest of the photographs taken by photographer Toyokazu Nagano.

So last night, my normal sunny evening took a strange and wonderful turn when I stepped through the door of The Black Boy; like Alice down the rabbit hole, I was transported into a world where anything was possible. Where baboons wore hats, and the ceiling watched you. The kind of place where books lined the walls and bathrooms are found behind hidden panels. Within The Black Boy it’s perfectly normal for a bear head to be in the kitchen, a sleeping dog that never moves lays by the door and you can play cards beneath a friendly giraffe!
I adored my time with The Black Boy… I think it is my new favourite place… I would like to share with you…
So there you go… what a wonderful place! Next time you visit Winchester I suggest you pay The Black Boy a visit… he’ll make it worth your while!
